Hitachi Consulting Co., Ltd. ("Hitachi Consulting Japan") handles a wide variety of information in our business consultancy operations. That information includes all our knowledge and technical data as well as information provided by our customers. We have worked to establish and implement information management systems that protect the value of that information.
As part of our ongoing efforts to manage and protect information, we have established rules and regulations in addition to an information management system designed to protect personal information and have adopted the following Privacy Policy.     We have established the Personal Information Management Rules to make certain that all members of our Board Member as well as all our employees recognize the importance of protecting personal information and that they appropriately use and protect such information. We make sure that these rules are fully complied with and continually work to maintain and improve them.

    We have established information management systems to ensure that, when collecting, using or providing personal information through the course of our various operations, it is protected and used appropriately in compliance with all relevant rules and regulations. We will not use personal information for any purpose other than specified and will take all measures necessary to ensure that the use of personal information will not go beyond the said scope.
  3. Implementing Security Measures and Remedial Action
    We take appropriate measures to control access to personal information, limit the means of removing personal information from company premises, prevent unauthorized external access, etc. in compliance with all relevant information security rules and regulations with an eye to maintaining the accuracy of and safeguarding personal information, including preventing disclosure, destruction, or loss. In the event of a privacy breach, we will identify the cause(s) and take remedial action.

    We comply with all laws, regulations and guidelines established by the Japanese government concerning protection of personal information as well as other relevant laws and regulations. We align our internal personal information management rules with these laws, regulations and guidelines as well as other relevant laws and regulations.

    We respect your right to privacy and respond in good faith whenever you request access to, or the correction and/or deletion of your personal information, suspend the use and/or provision of your personal information, or contact us with a complaint or inquiry concerning your personal information.

Acting in compliance with our Commitment to Protecting Your Privacy and Privacy Policy, we appoint a personal information management officer in each department that handles personal information and takes utmost care to do everything possible to protect and manage personal information.
